Each character, environment, mark, and symbol present in my work is part of a fictional realm I have created. This domain is not particular to any one location; rather, it represents the relationship between our identity and our fear. To communicate this connection, I aim to create imagery that recognizes this chaos but embraces the role of individual strength in combating elements of society that frighten us. Fear distorts and exaggerates perception. Each creature I create represents the internal uniqueness of each individual. The chaos and density of each composition is our external environment. Our external environment tests our identity and causes fear. Amidst this fear, the solution lies in embracing our individuality. A strong sense of self allows us to conquer our insecurities. My work recognizes our moral frailty in the midst of environmental distress, and as an anecdote, it poses individual expression.
